The night of Nick and Steph’s Rideau Lake Engagement Session was one of those perfect summer evenings. Gorgeous pink skies flooded around us as the sun dipped below the horizon, and we stayed by the dock till almost the last light had vanished, it was gorgeous and perfect. The cottage, which has been in Steph’s family for generations, was an old convent and one of the spots Nick and Steph considered for their wedding location. They chose instead to have their wedding at the Little White Chapel and Picton Golf and Country Club in Prince Edward County later this year but still wanted to utilize the gorgeous backdrop of this summer playground for their engagement photos. I am so glad they did.
