I’ve photographed a lot of weddings in 14 years, and they’ve taken me to a number of incredible places. If you are a new photographer you may be curious how a Prince Edward County Wedding Photographer ends up in Windsor, Ontario or anywhere outside their home base.
For the most part, these weddings are typically referral based; I’ve photographed a wedding for a friend of the bride or groom for instance and they were happy and spread the word. For Justin and Brittany, their original wedding plans began in Belleville, where they were looking to get married at Signal Brewery.
Unfortunately, a turn of events required a change of plans and Justin and Brittany asked if I would be willing to join them in Windsor.
Justin and Brittany, although, living in Kingston now, (Justing is one half of of the incredible rock duo The Blue Stones), are from the Windsor area and were excited to incorporate some very popular Windsor locations that had meaning for them into their celebrations. After their first look in the Windsor Distillery District, we headed to Maiden Lane Wine and Spirits for some intimate portraits while they sipped on some handcrafted beverages.
It was an absolute pleasure to photograph these two and I look forward to more travels in the near future. Some places in Quebec I am hoping to photograph a wedding soon are: Chicoutimi, Charlevoix, Quebec City, La Malbaie.
