A Few Things to Consider When Hiring Your PEC Wedding Vendors

Planning a wedding in Prince Edward County can be a little different from planning a wedding in a larger city.

The County is spread out, many venues are on rural properties, and your ceremony, reception and accommodations may all be in different locations. Some vendors also have limited availability during the busiest summer and fall wedding months.

When you’re reaching out to vendors, I’d recommend asking:

Are you available on our wedding date?
Do you regularly service our Prince Edward County venue?
Are travel or delivery fees included?
What is included in your package?
Who will be working at our wedding?
Do you have insurance?
Are there any setup or teardown fees?
What are your payment and cancellation policies?
Are there any venue requirements we should know about?

And don’t underestimate the importance of personality.

Your wedding vendors are going to be around you during some pretty important moments. Choose people whose work you love, but also choose people you feel comfortable having around you on the day itself.

There is something special about working with people who know the County — the venues, the roads, the logistics and all those little details that can make a wedding day run more smoothly.
