When Jenny reached out to me about doing her maternity photos in Prince Edward County, I was stoked. Maternity photos, are legitimately one of my favourite things to shoot. Last summer, I had the upmost pleasure of photographing Ben and Jamey at the Sand Dunes and it was all kinds of beautiful. So I had pretty high expectations heading into this shoot.
Jenny, who was raised in Prince Edward County, chose Sandbanks to have her maternity photos done. Jenny and I had been watching the weather pretty closely. The rain was pretty much downpour all day, but we kept hope the sky would clear for our evening session. Clear it did, and the most gorgeous pink sunset took our breath away. We shot till there was almost no light left from the day – side note, this is my favourite thing to do. By the end of our session, my clothes were soaked, I was covered in sand, but my heart was full. I pretty much edited half their session that same evening.
To say this summer has been different would be an understatement. We have all faced new realities, but being pulled away from your passion is hard to say the least.
